As an integral part of the River Wandle community, consider adding this new event to your team calendar - The River Summit & Festival, which is set to take place at Morden Hall, London, on the 21st May 2024 – to celebrate your local river (The River Wandle, an extraordinary urban chalk stream) and become River Summiteers by supporting this true community event.
The event embraces a global outlook with a local focus, bringing together leading international environmentalists, businesses large and small, individuals, brands, the local community, and wider members of the public who share a desire to work towards a more positive future for our rivers. A panel of speakers will discuss various topics from water scarcity, agricultural and sewage pollution, the environmental impacts of industrial practices in the countryside, and much more, followed by workshops by event partners such as South East Rivers Trust and the Wandle Piscators, films, art exhibitions, and fire cooked food and beverages throughout the day.
