Claire founded The River Summit in 2022 from her garden with a simple belief: the biggest environmental challenges require collaboration, not confrontation.

With 14 years of environmental communications experience, Claire has a unique talent for bringing unlikely allies together around shared goals.

Under Claire's leadership, the work has become year-round with initiatives such as the Testing the Waters Consortium and The Future for Water Impact Awards. The UK River Summit (now The River Summit and Festival) has grown from 30 people sharing lunch by a river to 350+ attendees at events where government ministers make policy announcements and major initiatives are discussed for the first time. Her approach of creating truly independent spaces for genuine dialogue has earned recognition across the water sector.
